Ralf Aasen, born 1952, is the bands bassist as well as backing vocalist.  He started to play the bass as early as 1966 and founded Solveigtrygve Bluesbandorkester.  Work and family dictated that Ralph took a long break from music.  The next band in line was Larsens Last Chance, where he toured Norway for many years using the ‘arrow shot’ method, as he expresses it.  Ralph played for a period with Stein Ove Berg and in the band Grey (that’s right, NOT great) Balls of Fire.  After this it was Fot I Hose that had the benefit of his experienced bass play.  He founded Solid Comfort, together with Stein, in 1998 and puts his mark on the band with his steady accompaniment and a playing style reminiscent of the Blues bassists from the 40s and 50s.
