Børre started even as a 5-year-old by annoying his parents by banging everything in sight, so there was nothing else to do other than sign him up in a Brass Band.  After many years in the band he studied for 3 years with music as his main subject at High School.  Here he played lots of Jazz related music in both large and small groups. Both Jazz and Big Band genres have stayed with him to date.  Today he is a permanent member of both Sandvika Storband and Urban Visions, a Jazz quartet with a CD release to their name.  In 1994 he was in Latin-Rock band Azteca who in the course of the subsequent 7 years had many event gigs as well as a regular monthly concert at Smuget in Oslo.  At the same time as this, he was also the permanent drummer for the house band at “Gamla”, who backed many different artists and played often with R.C. Finnegan and his band.  He is much used as a session drummer in many different situations and music styles.  He claims that he is still a session musician in Solid Comfort, in order to shirk responsibility.  He also has a little future as drummer in a not very well-known TV series on NRK.
